Now, if you're looking for Citizen Kane, don't see this movie, if you're just looking for innocent fun and a cute family flick, I think you might enjoy Alvin and the Chipmunks. I wished that they would've focused more on the building of the relationship between Dave and the boys, but I guess that might leave room for a sequel. Judging from my generation of Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, yeah, it was strange seeing them through what this generation considers cute and fun was a bit silly to me.

Alvin and the Chipmunks of course is not the movie of the year, but for a kid's movie, it was very cute. But until the music business takes advantage of them and tears their family apart, they realize that Dave is really who they need. They are a success and everything seems to be going very well for them. He first shoves them off, but after hearing their singing, he comes up with the idea to write songs for them and see where it goes. They jump into a basket being carried by Dave, a failing song writer, and they go home with him. Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, three singing, talking, and dancing chipmunks have just got their home(a tree, naturally) torn down and they are taken into the city. Chipmunk singing sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore are back for an encore in this hilarious squeakquel packed with more action and more nutty fun for the whole family When a concert mishap lands Dave in the hospital, the Chipmunks take a break from superstardom and enroll in school to fit in with kids their age. It's a new story to the chipmunk's tale and adventures. But the voices and characters are cute and the story works. There are flaws here and there about the film, but it was meant for the kids, you have to admit. So my boyfriend and I checked out Alvin and the Chipmunks tonite just to see what it was about and you know what? I think it was cute for what it was. But after thinking about it, the chipmunks have been around since the 50's, my generation's chipmunks were a new introduction to us as well as this movie is to the kids of 2007. Theodore and Anita reveal their deception to teach Alvin a lesson about not being insensitive towards others' feelings and Theo finds Teddy in the lost and found before Alvin takes him to go to the movies with Anita.When I first saw the trailer to Alvin and the Chipmunks, I was horrified, I'm 22 years old, I grew up with the chipmunks cartoon in the 80's and 90's. Miss Smith asks him about the item he's going to share the next day and he admits he lost it, saying a lot about him. Alvin enlists Simon to help him find Teddy as he can't sleep though they are unable to locate Theo's bear. He bumps into Derek who lies about what Anita thinks about him and Teddy causing Alvin to throw the bear into the bushes, returning home without him. Interested in the information Teddy provides about Anita, Alvin agrees to take the stuffed animal to school and do five kind things a day. Theodore introduces teddy's psychic ability at the Seville House, and once Alvin believes it's real, he begins spending more time with the bear. When Theo retrieves his bear, he finds Anita has him and she shares an idea to change Alvin's mind about Teddy. Miss Smith orders the two to redo the assignment as a result. Outside the school, Alvin discovers Theodore chose Talking Teddy, and to avoid humiliation, Alvin hides the bear in the bushes and gives Theo his pajama top to share. Dave makes him pick something else, settling on his pajamas. PlotДЄlvin and Simon meet Dave downstairs where they explain the object that says something about who they are Simon has microscope while Alvin has the shirt he's wearing.

When Alvin thinks Theodore's teddy bear can tell the future, Alvin goes all out to make Talking Teddy his friend.
